In the past, Maia worked for Brigham and Women’s Hospital, ranked top 20 hospital by U.S. News and World Report. She led innovation for the U.S Department of Health and Human Service and currently leader of Health Equity at Optum.Maia’s most celebrated accomplishments include leading the strategic roadmap for the Indian Health Service Health IT modernization and the development of Health+ a process that unleashes the power of data and technology to advance new solutions for underserved communities. She is passionate about improving the quality of life and treatment for people living with Sickle Cell Disease.
