John Vibert

John Vibert is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Credit. In this role, he leads the day-to-day activities for the business unit and oversees the investment activities for credit globally. Prior to his present role, Vibert was head of PGIM’s Securitized Products Team.

Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Vibert was the lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s mortgage credit portfolios and head of the non-agency Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) portfolio management team. Before joining BlackRock, Vibert was a managing director at Credit Suisse, where he was head of adjustable-rate mortgage trading and co-head of non-agency RMBS trading. Earlier, he was a mortgage trader at Morgan Stanley and began his career as a quantitative analyst in the mortgage research department of Salomon Brothers. 

Vibert earned a B.S. in engineering, with distinction, from Cornell University. Vibert also serves as a member of Prudential Financial Inc.’s Management Committee.
