Jens Nielsen is the Founder and CEO of the World Climate Foundation (WCF), a global platform driving innovation, investments, and new markets for a sustainable future. Since founding the World Climate Foundation, Jens has built one of the world’s most influential and unique networks for climate, biodiversity, and sustainability, connecting governments, businesses, investors, philanthropies, civil society, and leading alliances across the sustainability space to accelerate systemic transformation. With a focus on public-private partnerships and blended instruments, WCF serves as a trusted global network where policy ambition, private capital, and innovation meet to deliver tangible results. It is complemented now by a newly formalised “Institute” adding "insights for action” in the space. Before founding WCF, Jens held senior roles at PwC, Cision PR Newswire, Mitsubishi Electric, among others. He also co-founded the Climate Investment Coalition under the Foundation’s umbrella, a pioneering effort for collaborative finance for the green transition. He continues to develop coalitions that drive progress across sectors such as food, mining, and in emerging areas like nature investment.
