Jeffrey Solomon

Special Advisor and Vice Chair, TD Bank U.S.
Jeff is Special Advisor and Vice Chair of TD Bank U.S. He previously held leadership roles as President of TD Cowen, a division of TD Securities and Vice Chair, TD Securities. He was Chair and CEO of Cowen from 2018 until the company’s acquisition by TD Bank Group in March 2023. Previously, Jeff served as President of Cowen, following his roles as COO and Head of Investment Banking. He was the co-portfolio manager of Cowen Investment Management's (formerly known as Ramius) multi-strategy investment portfolio, having joined the firm at its founding in 1994. Jeff is a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation (CCMR), a non-profit organization dedicated to efficient capital markets and the stability of financial system. He also serves on the board of the American Securities Association (ASA). From 2019 – 2023, he was Vice Chair and an inaugural member of the SEC’s Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee. Jeff is also a member the Board of Directors of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the Executive Committee of the Partnership for NYC. In addition, he is a member of the Executive Committee of UJA-Federation of New York, Chair of the Foundation for Jewish Camp and Vice Chair of the Board of the Tree of Life Inc., which was formed to rebuild the Tree of Life Synagogue after the tragic shooting in 2018 and is dedicated to combatting identity-based hate in all its forms. Jeff received a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
