Gautam Bhandari

Gautam Bhandari is the Co-founder, Global Chief Investment Officer, and Managing Partner of I Squared Capital, an independent global infrastructure investment firm headquartered in Miami with over $55 billion in assets under management and 350+ professionals. He serves on the firm’s Investment and Management Committees and chairs the boards of several portfolio companies, helping guide investments across energy, utilities, transport, digital infrastructure, and environmental solutions—including 100+ companies in 70+ countries.

Before co-founding I Squared Capital in 2012, he spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley in New York and Asia, including as Managing Director and Head of Asia for Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, a $4 billion global infrastructure fund. He holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware and is the author of academic papers and holder of 20 semiconductor technology patents.
