Derek Silverman is the Co‑Founder and Chief Product Officer at Basis Climate, where he focuses on building AI software that make clean energy tax credits more accessible and efficient. He has held product and design roles across tech and media startups, combining strategy, engineering, and policy insight to solve complex problems. Before founding Basis in 2022, he worked as a Product Manager at Rewiring America, helping develop tools like the Household Electrification Savings calculator, and was part of the founding team at CrowdTangle, a news analytics tool which was acquired by Facebook.
