Barbara Nash

In October 2025, Barbara Nash was named Co-Head of TMT Corporate and Institutional Banking in addition to her role as Head of TMT Coverage, a team she’s headed since its founding January 2018. For the 5 years prior to this, Barbara was the Co-Head of Media and Telecommunications Coverage Team. Barbara joined BNP Paribas in 2010. Before joining BNP Paribas, Barbara was the Head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications team for Fortis Capital’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Barbara founded this business in 2005 and recruited each team member.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Barbara was also the Head of Fortis’ Acquisitions and Leverage Finance Team. Before being recruited by Fortis Capital, Barbara was the Head of the Communications, Media & Entertainment Group at RBC Capital Markets where she spent 12 years. During her tenure, Barbara was one of RBC Capital Markets’ youngest Managing Directors across the Americas. Barbara started her career at Bankers Trust Company as an analyst on the Investment Management team covering index arbitrage accounts.

Over her career, Barbara has worked with numerous Technology, Media & Telecommunications companies raising capital in the loan, high yield, high grade and equity markets and has been involved in a number of M&A advisory opportunities. Barbara has also worked extensively with companies on their transaction banking and hedging needs. Under Barbara’s leadership as Head of TMT Coverage, Barbara’s TMT Coverage team received American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking Top Teams award in 2023.
