Barbara Humpton is Chief Executive Officer of USA Rare Earth, securing the supply chain of rare earth elements, from mining, through processing, metal and alloy production, to magnet-making. Throughout her career, she has been motivated by being part of missions that matter, and there is nothing more critical to national and global security than securing a domestic supply chain for rare earth minerals and magnets. She views the true purpose of technology as expanding what’s humanly possible.
From 2018 through 2025, Humpton served as president and CEO of Siemens USA, with approximately 45,000 employees in 50 states and Puerto Rico and over $21 billion in revenue. Prior to joining Siemens in 2011, Humpton served as a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton and Lockheed Martin Corporation with responsibility for large scale system integration of biometrics programs, border and transportation security and critical infrastructure protection.
Humpton is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Barbara is Chairman of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA). She is Vice Chair or Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP). She serves on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and Economic Club of Washington, D.C.
