Anu Aiyengar is the Global Head of Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions at J.P. Morgan and a member of the firm’s Global Banking Operating Committee and Global Investment Banking Management team. She leads a top-ranked global practice of 500+ bankers across 45 countries that combines M&A, Corporate Advisory, and Director Advisory Services, helping clients execute transformative strategies. Since joining J.P. Morgan in 1999, Anu has held senior leadership roles across the Investment Bank and has advised on more than $1 trillion worth of transactions, including marquee deals like LVMH’s acquisition of Tiffany, Allergan on its sale to AbbVie, and Rio Tinto’s acquisition of Arcadium Lithium, among others. Anu's leadership and impact have been widely acknowledged, with her being named to Barron's "100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance" and American Banker's "Most Powerful Women in Finance" for the last five years. She has also received distinctions such as the 2021 "Asian American Business Award," the 2022 "Ascend A-List Honoree," the “Impact and Innovation Award” by Dress for Success, and was featured on the 2024 Forbes India W-Power list. In 2025, she was named the top U.S. M&A banker on Business Insider's Rainmakers list, becoming the first woman to hold the No. 1 position.
