Anibal Wadih is a Founding Partner at GEF Capital Partners and Co-Head of its Latin American investment practice. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, he focuses on middle-market growth equity opportunities in South America.
He has more than 20 years Financial Market experience, Mr. Wadih previously led a Private Capital investment team at Macquarie Capital, overseeing proprietary investments in agribusiness and infrastructure. He was also a senior member of Deutsche Bank’s M&A team in Latin America, specializing in financial sponsors.
Mr. Wadih joined Global Environment Fund in 2014 as a Managing Director and later co-led the spin-out that formed GEF Capital Partners in 2018. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in private equity transactions and fund development across the region.
He currently serves on the board of directors of ProSolus, HCC Solar, Clean Medical, GR Water Solutions, and UCB.
Mr. Wadih holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar (Venezuela), a Master’s in Finance from IESA (Venezuela), and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
