Mr. Ajay Piramal Chairman, Piramal Group Mr. Ajay Piramal is a leading Indian industrialist and philanthropist. As Chairman of the Piramal Group, he has built a USD 10 billion global conglomerate spanning financial services, pharmaceuticals, and real estate, with operations in 30 countries and products sold in over 100 markets. For over two decades, he has been deeply committed to philanthropy, focusing on systemic transformation. Through the Piramal Foundation, he works closely with governments across 25 states and 112 Aspirational Districts to strengthen public systems in healthcare, education, and human development. The Foundation has grown into a 5,000-member organization, impacting over 143 million lives. Mr. Piramal’s contribution has been recognized globally, including an honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2022 by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for strengthening the UK–India trade relationship. He has served on Harvard Business School’s Board of Dean’s Advisors (2012–2024), and President of Anant National University.
