Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat's unique career spans 40 years and three presidential administrations. He served in a variety of roles, including chief domestic policy advisor for President Jimmy Carter; ambassador to the European Union, under secretary of commerce for international trade, under secretary of state for economic business and agricultural affairs, and deputy treasury secretary for President Bill Clinton; and special advisor on Holocaust issues for Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. In his most recent book, President Carter: The White House Years, Ambassador Eizenstat gives a forthright and in-depth analysis of the complexities faced by those fortunate enough to carry the title of president. Today, he serves as senior counsel at Covington & Burling LLP, where he heads the firm's international practice. The Milken Family Foundation's Executive Vice President, Richard Sandler, interviews the experienced statesman and Washington insider to get an objective view on the presidency and its impact on domestic policy and international relations.
