Author Talk: Kevin Kwan, "Lies and Weddings"

-

Kevin Kwan, best-selling author of Crazy Rich Asians, is a master at crafting studies of the world’s most wealthy and powerful. Using cutting observations and a fresh sense of humor, he takes readers inside rooms we otherwise might never know exist. As the Author Talk’s sole featured fiction book, Lies and Weddings tells a tale of a future Duke and heir to the legendary Gresham Trust who has secretly tumbled into a deep hole of debt. It is an apt—and hilarious—study of the tension between two powerful forces: love and legacy. Join Kwan to learn how he’s refined his often-satirical take on society and what he’s learned from writing about the culture of the ultrawealthy.

As with all Global Conference public sessions, registration is not required to attend an Author Talk, but seating is limited. Seats will be open to the first 50 attendees. We recommend Conference attendees add any Author Talks of interest to your agenda. If you cannot attend the Author Talk or are solely interested in the book signing portion, we encourage you to come to the Global Conference on-site bookstore managed by Barnes & Noble for the final 20 minutes of the scheduled hour.

Books featured in the Author Talks and Book Signings are available for purchase at the on-site bookstore.
