A lot has changed since the passage of the Harrison Narcotics Act of 1914, the first comprehensive law in the US to regulate whole classes of drugs. Almost 110 years later distributors have moved online, prices have increased, and needs for prescription medications have continued to rise. With these and other changes, it’s imperative to revisit the processes and procedures by which patients acquire drug treatments. How could prices decrease?
