John Giordano

John Giordano was confirmed by the United States Senate as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia on October 7, 2025, sworn in on October 9, 2025, and presented his credentials to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on October 29, 2025. Ambassador Giordano is a highly accomplished attorney, capital strategist, and former federal prosecutor whose career spans senior government service and private capital leadership.

Most recently, he served as the 64th United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey. His career places him among only a handful of Americans in the nation’s history to have served both as United States Attorney and as chief of mission to a sovereign foreign state. Ambassador Giordano brings a rare combination of prosecutorial authority, financial command, and strategic capital leadership across select growth-stage enterprises. His work ranges from energy-driven economic development to international wildlife-trafficking enforcement. In parallel, he has built a distinguished record of deploying private capital across high-growth consumer brands, advanced technology companies, and digital-asset platforms, focusing on enterprise-level scalability and long-term value creation.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Villanova University, he earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and clerked for United States District Judge Joseph E. Irenas before joining the international law firm DLA Piper.
