Blythe Adamson

Blythe Adamson is an epidemiologist and economist accelerating the development of valuable medicines and health policy. She serves as Principal Scientist in Machine Learning at Flatiron Health in New York. Dr. Adamson advances applications of natural language processing and machine learning in the curation of electronic health records for real world evidence with a team of engineers, scientists, and clinicians. She designs treatment comparative-effectiveness studies, codes mathematical models of disease, and delivers research for global health technology assessment. Dr. Adamson served as a former member of the White House COVID Task Force on Healthcare Resilience while lead pandemic data scientist in the West Wing. She is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington in the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute. Dr. Adamson has held roles at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Institute for Disease Modeling, Infectious Economics, the NIAID HIV Vaccine Trials Network, and Fred Hutch Cancer Center. She continues to serve as a leader in the International Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).
