A passionate pioneer in China’s nascent blockchain industry, Jihan set-up China’s first bitcoin community site, Babite, and was the first to translate Satoshi Nakamoto's whitepaper for Bitcoin into Mandarin in 2011. He was recognised in 2018 by Fortune magazine’s “40 young people under 40” as being on the leading edge of fintech and transforming business. Jihan established Matrixport in 2019, his second adventure, having earlier co-founded mining chip giant Bitmain Technologies and leaving the company in 2021. Jihan has a Bachelor's degree from Peking University in economics and psychology.
