David Conrod is Chief Executive Officer of LANDC Investment, LLC an investment firm and FocusPoint Private Capital Group (“FocusPoint”), a placement firm for private funds and direct transactions which is wholly-owned by LANDC. LANDC acquires ownership stakes in direct transactions and private funds sourced through FocusPoint’s capital raising business and established networks of its principals. Since 2010 FocusPoint has raised capital for buyout, growth, venture capital, credit a, distressed, income-related, real asset, sale leaseback and hospitality sectors, and has offices in New York and London. Prior to launching FocusPoint, Mr. Conrod was a Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, LLC, where he joined the firm at its inception in October 2000. He led the firm’s institutional distribution initiatives and for over a decade played a key role in the sourcing, diligence, and growth of several Guggenheim-sponsored asset management businesses. Collectively, these businesses raised multi-billions limited partnership commitments. Mr. Conrod also established the firm’s Private Fund Group raising multi-billions of fund allocations for general partnerships external to the firm. From 1992-1999, Mr. Conrod was Director of Sales and Marketing at HSBC Asset (Americas), Inc., where he was responsible for distributing the investment bank’s Asian and European private equity vehicles. Mr. Conrod earned an A.B. from Kenyon College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Graduate School of Business."
