Dana Hamilton Head of Real Estate, Pretium Dana Hamilton has been Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate at Pretium, a specialized investment management firm, since 2017. At Pretium, she has played a leadership role in the growth of Progress Residential, the firm’s single-family rental platform, and its single-family rental funds and separately managed accounts. Today, Pretium owns and operates approximately 70,000 single-family homes for rent. Ms. Hamilton has more than 25 years of experience building successful real estate operating and investment companies in the U.S. and in Europe. For most of her career, until February 2013 when the company was sold, Ms. Hamilton was a key member of the management team that grew Archstone-Smith (NYSE: ASN) into an industry-leading owner of apartments in the U.S. and abroad. Ms. Hamilton has been a Director of Life Storage, Inc. (NYSE: LSI), a leading self-storage owner and operator since 2018, where she sits on the Audit and Risk Management and Compensation and Human Capital Committees. Previously, she was a Director of FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated, until its merger with RLJ Lodging Trust. Ms. Hamilton graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Public Policy and Education and received her MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s President's Program and a member of CEO.
