
Rodrigo Bettini
Rodrigo Bettini is the managing director of Latin America in the International pillar at the Milken Institute. He started his career on Wall Street in 2005. In 2008, he accepted an offer to lead investor relations for the Brazilian arm of a United States-based hedge fund, which brought him to São Paulo, Brazil. There, he marketed the firm’s proprietary asset-backed security structures to investors in the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
In 2009, he accepted a position as director of investments with Sterne Agee Financial Services, where he structured and managed bond portfolios for municipalities and other tax-exempt bond-issuing entities. In this role, he provided investment services to over 50 local governments.
In 2019, he transitioned into the nonprofit space as director of business and program development at the California-based think tank the Milken Institute. His work has focused largely on developing and implementing the Institute’s expansion plan into Latin America. He serves as the primary liaison to the region’s family office principals, pension fund chief information officers, and Fortune 100 corporate leaders.
Bettini received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He currently holds FINRA designations: Series 7, Series 66, and Series 50 (municipal advisor representative). He has been a featured speaker at regional, national, and international conferences.
