Kevin Lu
Kevin Lu, PhD, is a senior fellow within the International pillar at the Milken Institute and partner and chairman of Asia at Partners Group, a global private equity firm with $150 billion in assets under management. He is a member of the firm’s global executive board. He chairs the International Advisory Council for PG LIFE and the board of directors of Partners Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
Prior to Partners Group, Lu held senior management positions at the World Bank Group, including as director and chief financial officer of the World Bank Group’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. He has served on a number of advisory boards for international organizations and government agencies, including the World Bank's Global Infrastructure Facility, International Finance Corporation’s Impact Management Principles, Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Financial Centre Advisory Panel, the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Investing, the International Experts Advisory Committee of Insurance Asset Management Association of China, and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Sustainable Investment Advisory Council. He also coauthored Investing with Confidence: Understanding Political Risk Management in the 21st Century.
The World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader in 2010, and the Institute of International Finance recognized him as a Future Leader in 2014. Lu has published commentaries in The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, Financial Times, and The Straits Times. He is currently an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia Business School, a lecturer in management, and an executive fellow at Yale School of Management.
