David Trulio

President, Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream; Executive Vice President of the Milken Institute

David Trulio leads the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream in its next exciting chapter of growth and impact.

He joined the Milken Institute with extensive cross-sector experience. Most recently, Trulio served as president and CEO of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, based in Simi Valley, CA, which includes a leading policy institute in Washington. Earlier, he was managing editor and head of strategy and editorial operations at FOX News Digital.

At the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Trulio served as senior vice president for the China and Transformational Exports Program. At the Pentagon, he was chief of staff to the undersecretary for policy, executive director of the Defense Policy Board, and performed the duties of principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs.

Earlier, Trulio was a vice president at Lockheed Martin International, held multiple roles at Raytheon, and served at the White House and the Pentagon under President George W. Bush. He and his family reside in Northern Virginia.
