Rovshan Javadov

Mr. Rovshan Javadov brings nearly 20 years of experience at the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ). In March 2020, he was appointed Deputy CEO of SOFAZ by Presidential Decree. In this role, Mr. Javadov oversees the Fund’s investment strategy and strategic partnerships, playing a key part in driving its sustained growth and success. Prior to this position, Mr. Javadov served as Chief Investment Officer from 2014 to 2020, and as Deputy Chief Investment Officer from 2009 to 2014.

Mr. Javadov holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Clark University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations from Azerbaijan State University of Economics. He has also completed specialized programs in Management at Stanford University and Harvard University.

Mr. Javadov is fluent in English and Russian.
