Rohit Walia

Rohit Walia is the Executive Chairman and CEO of Alpen Capital. He founded Alpen Capital in 2005 in Dubai International Financial Centre. Alpen Capital offers a comprehensive range of financial advisory services to institutional and corporate clients across the GCC, South Asia, Levant and Africa from its offices in UAE, Qatar, Oman and India.

Rohit Walia is also the Executive Chairman of Alpen Asset Advisors Limited, which is an independent financial advisory and asset management firm that he set up in the DIFC in 2013. He was also instrumental in setting up Bank Sarasin-Alpen in the GCC and India and was the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Sarasin-Alpen entities from 2004 to 2013.

A seasoned banker with over 35 years of international banking experience, Rohit has previously worked with Mashreqbank, Bank of America and American Express Bank in India.

He is also an active member of the community and strongly believes in corporate social responsibility. Alpen Capital has been awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR Label for eleven years in a row.

Rohit holds an MBA degree from the Schiller International University, London, UK.
