Naguib Sawiris

Mr. Naguib Sawiris founded Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) and led it until its merger with VEON in 2011, creating the world’s sixth largest mobile telecom provider. He is Chairman of Orascom Investment Holding, focusing on high-growth sectors in Egypt and Africa. He also chairs La Mancha Holding, with investments in Endeavour Mining, Horizonte Minerals, Elemental Altus Royalties, SRG Mining, and G Mining Ventures, and chairs Ora Developers, undertaking high-end real estate and hospitality projects worldwide. He has served on major international boards and advisory councils and is the recipient of numerous honors, including an Honorary Doctorate of Law, the “Legion d’Honneur,” the “Stella della Solidarietà Italiana,” and the “Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam.” He holds engineering and technical administration degrees from ETH Zürich and the German Evangelical School in Cairo.
