Hunny Bhagchandani is the Founder of Torchit, a social-tech enterprise that designs and manufactures affordable and innovative assistive technologies to empower persons with disabilities. Motivated by a personal encounter with a visually impaired student during his college days, Hunny developed the first prototype of a smart mobility device that later evolved into Saarthi and Jyoti AI—AI-powered solutions now transforming the lives of millions across India and 40+ countries.

A National Award recipient from the President of India, Hunny has also been recognized by MIT Media Lab (US), the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), and Forbes 30 Under 30 India and Asia for his work in inclusive innovation. Under his leadership, Torchit has reached over 1,500,000 individuals globally, providing assistive solutions that are reliable, scalable, and 90% more affordable than comparable international products.Beyond technology, Hunny advocates for inclusive education and entrepreneurship through the Torchit Foundation and EnableMart, an ecosystem of centers “for the PwD, by the PwD.” His mission is to impact 10 million families by 2030 through accessibility, skill development, and AI-driven empowerment.

At the Milken Institute MEA Summit, Hunny brings insights from the intersection of AI, social innovation, and manufacturing, demonstrating how purpose-driven partnerships can make inclusion sustainable and scalable across emerging economies.
