Hisham Halbouny is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of P1 Ventures, an early-stage, Africa-focused venture capital firm. P1 Ventures has been an early partner to leading technology companies across the continent including Nuitee (Morocco), Yassir (Algeria), and Money Fellows (Egypt). Hisham is passionate about backing visionary entrepreneurs and driving the transformation of emerging markets through innovation and technology.Before founding P1 Ventures, Hisham was a Partner at Man Capital, the global investment arm of the Mansour Group, where he led the firm’s global private markets platform. Man Capital invested in world-class companies such as Uber, Airbnb, and Fairmarkit, while also launching and scaling new businesses across different sectors in the US, India, Nigeria and Egypt.Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at EFG Hermes, the MEA region’s leading investment bank. He co-led the GCC investment banking division, spearheaded the firm’s expansion into multiple countries across the Middle East and Africa.Hisham serves as an advisor and board member to several high-growth companies, supporting founders as they scale category-defining businesses across Africa and beyond.
