Bruce Johnson

Bruce Johnson is currently the Director of Corporate Finance and Treasury at Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company. He joined Masdar in August 2020 as Head of Structured Finance, Treasury and Insurance, after previously holding the position of SVP in Mubadala’s Structured Finance team since 2014. Mr. Johnson has over 15 years’ experience in advising on and structuring the financing of infrastructure projects and was responsible for raising Masdar’s inaugural corporate financing in 2018 with the region’s first Green loan. 

He has also led numerous non-recourse financings for Masdar over recent years including Shuaa 2 PV (UAE), DAJ Wind (KSA) and Cibuk Wind (Serbia), Nur Navoi PV (Uzbekistan) and South Jeddah PV (KSA), amongst others. 

Mr. Johnson holds an MA in Business and Management from the University of Glasgow (class of 2004) and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law (class of 2020). He is presently completing his Legal Practice Certificate from the University of Law.
