Antonoaldo Neves

Antonoaldo Neves is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, having assumed leadership in October 2022. His extensive back-ground, spanning decades in the aviation industry, has seen him driving transformative changes and spearheading growth initiatives for various airlines. Antonoaldo's strategic vision and profound indus-try knowledge position him to lead Etihad Airways in enhancing its global presence, renowned for exceptional service and innovation.

Before joining Etihad Airways, Antonoaldo served as the CEO and Board Member of TAP Air Portugal, where he orchestrated a major turnaround, significantly enhancing the airline's value, elevating customer service, and increasing passenger numbers, thus boosting tourism development in Portugal. Previously, he was the President of Azul Airlines in Brazil, successfully leading the airline through its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. 

His strategic expertise also shone at McKinsey & Company, where as a partner, he developed long-term strategic plans for Brazil's aviation sector.

Antonoaldo began his career in civil engineering, later expanding his expertise with a Master of Business Administration from Darden Business School and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance from IAG School of Business PUC-Rio.

Under his leadership, Etihad Airways continues to advance operational efficiencies and expand its global network.
