Aarti Gupta

Dr. Aarti Gupta is an investment strategist with fourteen years of leadership as Chief Investment Officer of the DM Gupta Family Office of the Jagran Group. As part of the promoter family, she represents a business legacy that spans media, including the world’s largest read daily newspaper, along with real estate, textiles, and other diversified ventures. She oversees a multi asset portfolio across public markets, private equity, venture capital, and direct early-stage investments. She is also the Managing Partner at Anikarth Ventures which invests in and backs early-stage founders building scalable and transformative solutions for India and global markets.

A champion of women’s economic empowerment, Dr. Gupta leads national policy work as Head of Policy and Advocacy at FICCI FLO, serves as Vice President on the board of Harvard Alumni for Global Women’s Empowerment, and founded Anikarth Foundation which advances women’s financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and job readiness. Her work highlights the links between financial agency, inclusion, and long term economic resilience. She also serves as an independent director at Jindal Stainless Steels and advises family owned businesses and start ups on governance and investment strategy. Her contributions have been recognised by Inc42, Priwexus, and the global FamCap 50 list of Family Capital Investment specialists.

Dr. Gupta holds a PhD in Economics from IIT Kanpur along with degrees from Harvard University and Northeastern University.
