Fahad AlSharekh

CEO and Founder, Techinvest; General Partner, Kamco JEDI Fund

Fahad is well versed in the technology and finance ecosystems in both MENA and the USA, having previously served as Group Managing Director of Sakhr Software, and is currently General Partner of The JEDI Fund and Vice Chairman of Kamco Invest - Saudi. He joined the Investment Banking team at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York at the start of the Tech boom. He founded TechInvest in 2015, an advisory firm that provides opportunities for Middle East investors, including established Sovereign Wealth Funds like Mubadala and Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), to obtain exposure to private investment opportunities in the early and growth stage technology sectors in the USA. TechInvest advised and structured deals totaling over $750M money raised. He advises AngelList, the largest marketplace of seed stage investment opportunities in the world ($10.0B AUM, backed 190 unicorns), Reid Hoffman's Reinvent Fund and other notable Silicon Valley leaders. His direct investment portfolio in VC funds includes 10 unicorns, achieving 4.92x MOIC and 39.0% IRR (top quintile). He served on the boards of AlMal Investment Co, SAFTEC, AwalNet and currently Director of the Board at CODED, the first and largest coding Academy in the GCC.
