Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, Joseph Dallago brings over a decade of experience in building tech companies. Having been fascinated by technology and software development from an early age, Joseph pursued a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa during which he co-founded his first start-up, Pi, with Rain co-founder AJ Nelson. Bringing a keen eye for good design, Joseph has dedicated much of his life to creating high-quality products and brands. His first start-up, Pi, was an EdTech company focused on solving communication issues in the classroom and raised over one million dollars, winning Joseph a place in the Under30CEO Rookies of the Year, in 2012. His professional pursuits also include working as a software engineer for Silicon Valley-based tech-companies such as Survey Monkey and Rockwell Collins, as well as digital currency exchange platform Abra, enabling him to fully immerse himself in the industry prior to forming Rain. A passionate serial entrepreneur with a special focus on digital currency, Joseph followed the bitcoin revolution from the early days strongly believing in the long-term value of this technology to change modern finance and monetary policy globally, and become the basis for a burgeoning financial system. Spending most of his time between New York and Dubai, Joseph discovered the need for a trusted, high-quality cryptocurrency exchange in the region and thus, together with the co-founders, formed a relationship with the Central Bank of Bahrain, culminating into founding Rain in 2019.
