David Lorenz founded Lunaz in 2018 based on a vision to upcycle redundant vehicles, giving them a second, all-electric life and in doing so meeting an urgent requirement to reduce global tailpipe emissions. From these foundations he has built one of the most celebrated clean-technology businesses in the United Kingdom. Lunaz’s culture of upcycling has inspired some of the world’s most decorated engineers and technical minds to join him in creating a modular and proprietary clean-air powertrain and developing a suite of innovative upcycling processes. This will drive a vision to remanufacture and electrify passenger, commercial and industrial vehicles of all sizes and specifications, realising the full potential of upcycling to plot a more sustainable path to a decarbonised future. Lorenz is married with one daughter, Luna, who the company is named after.
