David Chaum is the original Founder of the decentralized xx network and CEO of Elixxir.io. Elixxir is the developer of Speakeasy, the world’s first truly anonymous decentralized social media platform. David is widely recognized as the creator of digital cash. His invention of blind digital signatures revolutionized security and privacy protection in information-sharing, voting, and in the world of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin. His mix network designs led to the implementation of onion routing-based platforms like Tor and in the field of distributed computing, he published the first formally described blockchain and coined the term “multi-party computing” or “MPC.” MainNet launch for the xx network, the first quantum-resistant global, high-performance blockchain, was in November 2021. The network's next-generation mix network technology. cMix, gives Speakeasy its best-in-class privacy.  Chaum earned a PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and taught at NYU Graduate School of Business and the University of California; he also founded the International Association for Cryptologic Research and the cryptography group at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science in Amsterdam.
