Wray Thorn is a Managing Director of Two Sigma Investments, LP, where he leads the firm’s private investment activities as Chief Investment Officer of Sightway Capital, LP, a Two Sigma company focused on private equity investments and Chair and Venture Partner of Two Sigma Ventures, the venture investing arm of Two Sigma. Mr. Thorn has spent his career identifying, financing, structuring and investing in private investment and venture capital transactions, including involvement in numerous management buyouts transactions, venture investments, add-on acquisitions, realizations, corporate financings, fundraisings and other principal transactions, and numerous leverage financings totaling in excess of $25 billion in aggregate consideration. Prior to Two Sigma, Mr. Thorn was a senior managing director at Marathon Asset Management, a director at Fox Paine & Company and part of the Acquisition Finance Group at Chemical Bank (today, J.P. Morgan). He currently serves or has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of 20 public and private companies and investment funds and is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Youth INC. Mr. Thorn earned his bachelor’s degree in government (cum laude) from Harvard University.
