Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Al Maskari started her career with ADNOC as a pioneering Emirati woman engineer and PhD geophysicist. In 1989 she left government service to join her family petroleum company Al Maskaria Establishment, which initially engaged in oil and gas services and trading. Under her leadership, the group evolved into a diversified multinational conglomerate and in 2008 was reorganized into Al Maskari Holding (AMH), the privately owned holding company that controls the family’s portfolio of operating subsidiaries, joint venture companies, strategic partnerships, and private equity. HE Dr. Shaikha is an active philanthropist through her private foundation and in coordination with Emirates Red Crescent. She is internationally recognized for her humanitarian initiatives, particularly in the areas of children's and women's rights, and through her relief efforts to end the refugee crisis. She serves on several non-profit organization boards, including the Arab International Women’s Forum and the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.
