Rufus Yerxa

Ambassador Rufus Yerxa is a Senior Advisor with McLarty Associates. He is a prominent figure in international trade policy and negotiations with a career spanning more than four decades. He is a former Deputy United States Trade Representative under both Republican and Democratic Administrations and served over a decade as Deputy Director General of the World Trade Organization(WTO). He also served as a staff director in Congress, a private lawyer in Brussels and as President of the National Foreign Trade Council, a leading Washington trade association. He is a recognized authority on U.S. trade law and international trade agreements, having led US negotiations in both the Uruguay Round and NAFTA. Ambassador Yerxa is a lawyer and member of the DC Bar.
