Martín Escobari is Co-President and Head of Global Growth Equity at General Atlantic, a leading global investor with over $114B in assets under management, inclusive of all strategies, as of June 30, 2025. He is Chairman of the firm’s Global Growth Equity Investment Committee and serves on the Executive and Portfolio Committee.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Martín was a Managing Director at Advent International, where he focused on the financial services sector. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CFO of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer that went public on the Bovespa. Martín started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.  

Martín currently sits on the boards of General Atlantic portfolio companies Arco, dLocal, and XP. He also serves on the boards of Endeavor Global, Harvard Management Company, Lincoln Center, the Partnership for New York City, and the Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard. 

Martín received a BA in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
