Gautam Bhandari is the Co-Founder, Global Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of I Squared Capital. Since inception, Gautam has been a member of the Investment Committees, he sits on the Executive Committee as well as the Operating Committee. Gautam was awarded Infrastructure Personality of the Year in the 2023 PEI Infrastructure Investor Awards in recognition of his contribution to infrastructure, pioneering approach to investments and asset management in addition to assuming his new role as Global Chief Investment Officer. Prior to I Squared, Gautam spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley in New York and Asia, where he was Managing Director and Head of Asia for Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, a global infrastructure fund. Gautam holds an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was an Amerada Hess Merit Scholar, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware, where he was the University Merit Fellow and recipient of the Joel L. Silver Award for the best doctoral dissertation work, and a B.Sc. (Honors) from St. College, Delhi University. He also holds 20 patents in the semiconductor industry and is the author of several published papers
