Shannon Cheung

Mr. Cheung Wing Hong Shannon MH JP, the Founder and Chairman of Averest Capital Group, is a personal investor and venture incubator with over 20 years' experience in investment and venture building. He has cofounded a number of innovative and disruptive startups in various emerging industries in China. Mr. Cheung works closely with entrepreneurs and provides strategic advice, international experience and connections, as well as finance, fundraising and capital markets expertise to help his portfolio companies grow and become leaders in their respective industries. Mr. Cheung has cofounded and serve as Vice-Chairman for: (i) Likang Life Sciences, a biotech company that pioneered China's leading personalized neoantigen mRNA cancer vaccine, which was the first of its kind to be approved by NMPA to enter the clinical trials in China in Mar 2023. In Feb 2025, US FDA has also approved its lND application; (ii) Hero Games, a leading mobile game developer, which incubated numerous game studios including Game Science (Black Myth: Wukong) and Kuro Games (Wuthering Waves); (iii) Hero Esports, the largest esports company in Asia; (iv) All Football, leading football media platform that offers match details & professional statistics; (v) DIB Group, a fintech asset manager that leverages big data and AI technologies. Mr. Cheung was appointed as Justice of the Peace in 2019 and awarded the Medal of Honour in 2014 for his public and community service by the Government of Hong Kong.
