Ms. Poman Lo is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited. A passionate purpose-driven business, Poman launched the first carbon neutral hotel iClub by Regal in 2010, invests in climate technologies and drives sustainability initiatives that promote personal and planetary well-being.
Poman serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching sustainable business management and impact investing at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and The University of Hong Kong. She founded the non-profit Institute of Sustainability and Technology with a mission to nurture the next generation of transformative leaders who can drive systemic change for collective well-being in the world. To drive systemic change for global impact, Poman founded the One Earth Summit to drive cross-sector collaborations and One Earth Alliance to build a thriving ecosystem for innovations. To foster collective well-being in the world, Poman established Bodhi Love Foundation to foster internal growth for global sustainable development through mindfulness-based sustainable transformation education programs.
Poman has been officially appointed as Member of Chief Executive’s Policy Unit Expert Group, Member of the Green Technology and Finance Development Committee, Member of the Advisory Committee on Mental Health, Council Member of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Advisory Committee of the School of Chinese Medicine at University of Hong Kong, Foundation Member of Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, Member of the Advisory Board of the Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy, Member of the Curriculum Development Council Standing Committee on Values Education, and also serves as the Honorary President of Hong Kong Federation of Women.
As a global champion of sustainable development, Poman takes an active leadership role at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). She is appointed Co-Chair of the ESBN Finance Task Force and a member of the Executive Committee of ESBN, and serves as Chair of the Asia Pacific Business Forum Organizing Committee and Chair of Asia Pacific Green Deal for Business Committee. She is also the Community Chair of FBN Asia Impact at FBN Asia.
Poman was awarded the Angier B. Duke Scholarship at 15 and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Psychology from Duke University at 19. She is the only person in Hong Kong history to receive both the “Outstanding Young Person of the World Award” and the “Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award." Poman is also the first and only female Asian recipient of the “Oslo Business for Peace Award” by the Business for Peace Foundation in Norway, selected by an independent committee of Nobel Prize Laureates in Peace and Economics. In 2023, she was awarded the “Business Person of the Year Award” at the SCMP Hong Kong Business Awards.
