Joseph Chee

Dr. Joseph Chee possesses over 20 years of comprehensive experience in global finance, spanning investment banking, capital markets, private equity, and digital assets. In 2017, he founded Summer Capital and serves as Chairman, leading high-impact investments and successful exits across technology, healthcare, logistics, consumer, and blockchain sectors. He holds pivotal senior roles: Executive Chairman of Solana (NASDAQ: HSDT), Vice Chairman of SEBA Bank AG (now AMINA Group) — Switzerland’s first licensed digital asset bank integrating traditional and crypto finance — and previously Chairman of Swiss Education Group. Prior to establishing Summer Capital, Dr. Chee was Head of Investment Banking Asia and Head of Global Capital Markets Asia at UBS, a prominent Asia-Pacific banker with robust corporate, institutional, and regulatory networks. Under his leadership, UBS Asia achieved top rankings in IPOs and capital markets for consecutive years and earned numerous “Best Bank” and “Best Equity House” awards from IFR, FinanceAsia, The Asset, and Asiamoney. He began his career at Citigroup in New York, joined UBS Asia’s M&A team in 2000, and progressed to Head of China ECM (2004–2005), contributed to building UBS Securities in Beijing (2006), became Head of Asia Global Capital Markets (2010), and led Asia Investment Banking from 2015. Dr. Chee has executed more than 180 IPOs and over 400 equity, equity-linked, debt, and M&A transactions, raising over US$300 billion for issuers.
