Hans Michael Jebsen

Hans Michael Jebsen serves as Chairman of the Jebsen Group and as a Non Executive Director of the Jebsen & Jessen Group, Jebsen & Jessen Hamburg, and The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd.

A committed supporter of community and cross cultural engagement, he chairs the Hong Kong Section of the Hong Kong–Europe Business Council, sits on the HKUST Business School Advisory Board, and serves on the International Board of Advisors of the China–Italy Philanthropy Forum. He is also a trustee of Asia Society Hong Kong and WWF Hong Kong, a founding member of the Asian Academy of International Law, and a former Chairman of the Asian Cultural Council Hong Kong.

Mr. Jebsen’s longstanding contributions have earned wide recognition, including his appointment as an Honorary Citizen of Guangzhou (2021), the Danish Kammerherre title (2020), the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (2009), and the Bronze Bauhinia Star of the Hong Kong SAR (2001). He also holds an honorary Doctor of Business Administration from HKUST.

He studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
