Gunther Hamm

Mr. Hamm is the President of HOPU Investments. 

He has nearly 25 years investing experience, and has been based in China since 2007. Prior to joining HOPU in 2017, he worked at Hillhouse Capital, CDH Investments and J.P.Morgan, all with a focus on the Technology and Consumer sectors. His investments have twice won AVCJ ‘Deal of the Year’ awards.

He is currently a Trustee at Choate Rosemary Hall, where he leads the Audit Committee and helps oversee the management of its endowment.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and studied at Tsinghua University.
