Emily Chan Tan

Emily Tan is a Senior Correspondent and Anchor of “The China Connection.” Based in Hong Kong, Emily takes an in-depth look into all you need to know about China, Hong Kong and Taiwan – their economies and how they connect with the global economy. She joined CNBC in 2007 as the lead Hong Kong market reporter. In her more than two decades in the industry, Emily has interviewed some of the region’s most recognizable and influential leaders including Alibaba Chairman Joe Tsai, Hon Hai Technology Group Chairman Young Liu, and C-suite executives from HSBC, HK Exchanges & Clearing, Oaktree Capital, Franklin Templeton, TSMC and Intel. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication.
