Christopher Ganis is the Chief Investment Officer of the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA). He brings a wealth of experience in finance with deep expertise in private credit and equity across Southeast Asia. Prior to his appointment as CIO, Chris served as Managing Director of Investment at INA, where he oversaw the Hybrid Capital Solutions division, providing flexible financing solutions tailored to diverse market needs as part of INA’s portfolio diversification strategy.
Before joining INA, he spent seven years at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, where he led private credit investments in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Indonesia. In this role, he developed and executed strategies for both primary and secondary credit investments across the region.
Earlier in his career, Chris was a Partner at Asia Summit Capital, an Indonesia-focused private equity and credit fund, and Vice President at Indies Capital, where he led private credit investments across multiple sectors in Indonesia. He also previously worked at Salomon Smith Barney and held several senior roles at Citi’s Corporate and Investment Bank, including in Asia Credit Trading and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Chris holds an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he received the Citi Markets & Banking Fellowship, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University.
