Bumgook Gwak
Senior Executive Managing Director for Mutual Aid Fund, Korea Federation of SMEs
Bumgook Gwak is the Senior Executive Managing Director for Mutual Aid Fund (or "Yellow Umbrella Fund") at the Korea Federation of SMEs(KBIZ), based in Seoul, South Korea. Previously, he was the CEO of Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation(KDIC) and a senior specialist at Strategy and Finance committee in South Korea’s National Assembly. He was also a visiting professor at Hanyang University and Cheongju University. Mr. Gwak was with South Korea’s Ministry of Strategy & Finance for 30 years, with his last position being Director-General for treasury. He has Ph.D. in Economics from Hanyang University.
