Sherrie Trecker

Head, Sustainability, Washington State Investment Board

Sherrie Trecker is Head of Sustainability at the Washington State Investment Board (WSIB), where she leads the integration of financially material environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors across a globally diversified portfolio of over $230 billion AUM. She works across asset classes and investment strategies to ensure sustainability considerations are embedded in decision-making, supporting long-term risk management and value creation. She oversees the development and implementation of WSIB’s Climate Blueprint, the agency’s comprehensive climate strategy, guiding portfolio alignment with evolving market, regulatory, and physical risk considerations.

Sherrie is an active participant in the Investment Committee, Sustainability Working Group, and DEI Committee, contributing to governance, policy, and execution of responsible investment practices. Prior to joining WSIB in 2019, Sherrie spent 13 years at Russell Investments, where she held roles in derivatives trading operations, investment manager research, and institutional consulting. Her experience spans both operational and investment functions, providing a well-rounded perspective on portfolio construction and manager evaluation.

Sherrie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is a CFA charterholder. She is Past President of CFA Society Seattle and currently serves on the Board of The Mountaineers.
