Scott Hart

Mr. Hart is the CEO of StepStone Group and also leads StepStone’s global private equity activities. Mr. Hart joined StepStone in 2007 and has held a number of roles and responsibilities since that time. He helped open StepStone’s London office in 2011. He was the co-Head of Private Equity Co-Investments until 2019. He has also worked closely with many of StepStone’s largest global clients. Prior to joining StepStone, Mr. Hart worked at TPG Capital, a leading global private equity firm. There he focused on direct private equity investments in the consumer, retail and energy sectors. Before that he worked at Morgan Stanley in the consumer and retail group within the investment banking division.

Mr. Hart graduated summa cum laude with a BBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Notre Dame Wall Street Leadership Committee and a member of YPO San Diego.
