Samuel Rodriques

Sam Rodriques is founder and CEO of Edison Scientific, building an AI Scientist to automate scientific research. Edison’s flagship AI Scientist, Kosmos, is focused on the discovery and development of new medicines, and has produced more than 10,000 novel scientific findings since its launch in November 2025. Sam is also founder and CEO of FutureHouse, a non- profit focused on automating basic scientific research, which was one of the first organizations to work on building an AI Scientist. Sam received his PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019, where he invented several new technologies to help us understand the biology of the brain. His work has been featured in Science and Nature magazines, and on numerous press outlets including CNN, TechCrunch, and the Economist. Sam has received numerous national awards and fellowships, including being named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in AI for 2025
